Please call  408.402.3228 for availability and schedule.

Pilates classes at Body Dynamic utilize the principle and method developed by Joseph Pilates.

We recommend beginning with either individuals or duets in order to assess more fully your individual needs and abilities.

It is normal to begin with learning positioning and names of exercises and equipment as well as the fundamentals of the pilates method.

With all sessions, we try to begin with a gentle warm up before moving into more challenging exercises based on the client’s abilities and strength.

It is always your responsibility as the client to notify the instructor whenever you feel uncomfortable participating or performing any exercise.

We do believe that pilates should not hurt nor aggravate any current or previous injury.

Kathryn Petak
Kathryn Petak
Kathryn has had formal training in ballet since the age of 3 and had an 8 year career dancing professionally with Smuin Ballets/SF, State Street Ballet and SF Opera Ballet. While dancing she searched for a fitness routine outside of the stress and competition of the dance world. Pilates was it. While attending college at UC Santa Cruz, she went on to receive her certification through the Physical Mind Institute with Tom McCook and has been teaching ever since. She cracks the whip on technique, so you might hate her during class, but you’ll thank her after. She has taught throughout the Bay Area, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

She also teaches Yoga and has a certification through Mount Madonna working with guru Babi Hari Dass. When not teaching, Kathryn loves cats, coffee and shopping. She still, on occasion, continues her love of performing in dance and theatre.
